It says 2 cups on the instruction sheet but I can actually fit 2-1/2 cups in the gravy boat which is great for a family of 4. I could never keep it hot for an hour though. The pad is still quit warm to touch but the sauce cools off before an hour is done.

This is a great idea and I like that it comes with a saucer that warms up. All it takes is 1 minute in the microwave for the saucer to activate. The gravy boat feels well balanced in the hand and isn't cumbersome to pour. Washed in the dishwasher without issue. No complaints.
