Compression Canisters

I keep walnuts and pecans in the small container. A bag of coffee beans fills it right to the top of the medium container. The glass is nice and thick. I had a similar container years ago that shattered when I pulled too hard. This one has a nice, soft gasket and I think the thick glass helps a lot.

I wanted a coffee storage container that was easy to open and easy to close and was not messy to use. I just put the coffee in the container, and them I push down on the cover and it slides easily into the container. I can feel the air flowing out of the container, through the handles, when I push it down onto the coffee. The cover is easily removed and allows air back into the container as I pull it out. The container is wide enough to allow me to move my hand down into the bottom of it to get coffee out without having to tip the container over and then pour out the coffee to allow me to reach it.
